A Wrap Is Only as Good as the Prep Under It
Lifting edges, bubbles and seams in the wrong place almost always come from rushed prep. The vehicle has to be surgically clean, the trim that blocks a clean edge has to come off, and the film has to be post-heated so it remembers its new shape, which matters even more in Houston humidity.
- Full wash, clay bar and panel wipe before any film goes on
- Door handles, badges, lights and trim removed where the edge needs to wrap
- Cast vinyl on complex curves so it does not shrink back
- Seams planned where they are least visible
- Every edge post-heated so it stays put in Gulf Coast heat

Texas Window Tint Rules at a Glance
The limits set by Texas Transportation Code 547.613. We only quote tint that passes them.
| Window | What Texas allows |
|---|---|
| Windshield | Non-reflective tint only above the AS-1 line or the top 5 inches, whichever is closer to the top, at 25% light transmission or more |
| Front side windows | Must let in at least 25% of light, measured with the glass; reflectance 25% or less |
| Rear side windows | Any darkness, as long as the vehicle has outside mirrors on both sides |
| Rear window | Any darkness, with outside mirrors on both sides |
| Compliance label | A label on the driver side window stating the film complies with Texas law |
| Medical exemption | Darker film is allowed with a qualifying physician statement kept in the vehicle |
No Surprises at Pickup
You get the film, the coverage and the price in writing before anything starts, and the work is inspected with you before you pay, so any lifted edge or bubble is caught while you are standing next to the car.

Frequently Asked Questions
A full color change wrap on a sedan usually runs about $3,000 to $4,500, and $2,500 to $6,000 across most vehicles once size, the vinyl finish and disassembly are counted. Chrome and color-shift films cost more. Partial wraps such as a roof, hood or stripes start in the hundreds. Every quote is written and itemized.
A quality cast vinyl wrap typically lasts about 4 to 7 years. The hood and roof take the most sun and age first, so covered parking, hand washing and removing lovebug and bird residue quickly make a real difference on the Gulf Coast.
Yes, within limits. Texas requires front side windows to let in at least 25 percent of light, allows a windshield strip above the AS-1 line or the top 5 inches, and allows any darkness on the rear side and back windows when the vehicle has two outside mirrors.
On healthy factory paint, no. Vinyl protects the paint under it and comes off cleanly when removed on time. Repainted panels, clear coat failure or rock chips can lift when vinyl is removed, so we check the paint before quoting.
They do different jobs. Paint protection film is a thick, clear urethane that absorbs rock chips and scratches. A ceramic coating is a thin, hard layer that adds gloss and makes the paint far easier to clean but does not stop chips. Many Houston owners put PPF on the front end and coat the rest of the car.
